Start with cleaning the glass

Inspect the locks

• Close the windows before you spray oil on the handles. Spray onto the window key and insert it into the handle lock. Wiggle the key gently and move it in and out of the lock several times.
• Open the windows and spray oil on the friction hinges.

Prevent mould build-up

Living in a place with high humidity levels can bring unique problems such as condensation. This is more common with old and damaged window seals, which can reduce the lifespan of the window. Regular occurrence of condensation can also encourage mould growth, which can easily damage the frame. To prevent excessive moisture and possible mould growth, make sure to wipe your double-glazed windows with a sponge. You can also open the windows, air out the room, and this will keep your home well-ventilated.
